Favorite Moment: TEACHER'S ARGUMENT SONG

by MisterBigShot

Location: PHILADELPHIA

I came from Philadelphia with my wife and 3 girls to see FAME at the Tropicana. We come every year to see the shows. This was by far the best production that they've ever done. It was like watching the BEST OF "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol", circa the 1980's. The performers really captured the nature of the 1980's. We all tremendously enjoyed the show.
As far as the individual performances, we all thought that each one was perfectly cast. We were a little concerned when we found out that the understudy was going to go on for Ms. Bell. But the understudy was phenomenal. The duet she sang with the English teacher was the highpoint of the show for us. The English teacher was great and had an overpower voice. Yet the understudy matched her note for note. Again, I applaud the director of his/her cast decisions.
When we got back home, my girls contacted the music teacher at their high school to see if they can do FAME as their high school musical for 2010.
We are definitely going again and may even bring the girl's high school music teacher with us. Thank you to the cast and directors for a great night!
