Local stars join Josh Groban

Cape Town - Josh Groban will be serenading our shores at the end of November as he embarks on his already sold out South African tour.

The tour also includes an added extra, for which tickets are still available at Computicket: An intimate and exclusive performance at a charity dinner to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre on November 30.

The performance will be in support of Unite Against Hunger - a crisis food relief programme spearheaded by food giant Tiger Brands.

Joining the star on the list of performers for the evening will be some of our countries finest artists including The Black Tie Ensemble, Mara Louw, Poseletso, as well as Danny K and Mandoza.

The Black Tie Ensemble

Created by South Africa's diva Mimi Coertse and celebrated opera director and costume designer Neels Hansen, The Black Tie Ensemble has become the most exciting classical music and singing project in Gauteng.

Mara Louw

Soweto-born actress, singer and theatrical diva Mara Louw started singing at the age of ten.

Since then, she has performed as far a field as Japan, Hong Kong, The Philippines, London, Paris, Scotland, and Southern Africa.

Louw plays a lead role in the drama series Muvhango , was a judge for M-Net's Idols 2 , and played the leading role of Miss Sherman in the musical Fame .


Poseletso Sejosingoe's dynamic singing talent first captivated South African audiences last year when she went from Cape Town township girl to Idols runner up.

She has since performed across the country at a wide range of shows and functions. This year, she was invited to take part in a South African Freedom Festival in Sydney in September, where she also made a guest appearance on Australia's Idols .

She is currently working on her long-anticipated debut album, and has recently released her first single Meadowlands .

Danny K

Since the launch of his debut solo album in 2000, Danny K has become one of South Africa's most versatile and accomplished artists, unleashing a steady slew of contemporary chart-topping hits over the years.


Kwaito superstar Mandoza achieved the feat of becoming a true South African crossover artist with his hit single Nkalakatha .

Since then, this bona fide talent has maintained his musical success with a series of instant smash hits. Danny K and Mandoza recently joined musical forces on the Coca-Cola Collaboration Album , and are due to release their own collaboration album in December this year.

The Josh Groban Charity Dinner will be held on November 30 at the Pavilion of the Sandton Convention Centre at 19:00.

Tickets are available from Computicket and range from R750 - R2 000.
