Ruby Rose hosts Fame, reality show to be set at Essendon Keilor College By Siobhan Duck, Herald Sun ESSENDON Keilor College will soon understand the reality of Fame. The college has beaten hundreds of schools around the country to be chosen as the location of Foxtel's new 10-part reality series. Hosted by Ruby Rose, Fame: The Ultimate School Musical, will follow the students as they undergo intensive training in singing, dancing and acting under the guidance of director Eddie Perfect - of Shane Warne: The Musical fame - theatre producer John Frost, choreographer Kelley Abbey and a host of other experts. The training, to take part outside school hours, will culminate in a performance of the stage show Fame on Foxtel's Fox8 next year. Her own high school years were turbulent, but Rose said she now happily found herself the "most popular girl at school" yesterday to announce it had been chosen. She said: "I've always wanted to work in a school environment. High school was not the greatest experience for me, that was part of the reason I wanted to do this. "It is going to be such a positive thing for the school." Every season of the show will feature a different school rehearsing for a different musical. Versions of the show are already in production in 12 countries including New Zealand and France.
