Last night I was magically transported back to 1983, leg-warmers and head bands were definitely on the menu for Milton Keynes Theatres latest offering.
Fame The Musical hit the stage running with an all singing, all dancing version of the 1980's film.

The story follows a group of student through their studies at New York High School of Performing Arts, all hoping to make it big on the stage and screen.

The choreography and dancing was fantastic; especially when the whole cast were on stage. The scenery was basic but served its purpose very well as the dancers used the whole stage for most of the performance.

All the elements were there, the naturally gifted rebel Tyrone Jackson played by Carlton Connell, the love story between Nick Piazza and Serena Katz played by Nick Hayes and Abi Finley and of course endless humor provided by the cheeky and lovable Joe Vegas played by Lucas Rush.

This is a production that is perfect for the whole family, with laughs around every corner and dance routines that will make you toes tap all the way home.
A definite must see.
