A CAST of 90 assembled this week for a Dewsbury school's sell-out production School of Fame. Pupils from years eight to 11 and staff at Earlsheaton Technology College are performing the musical, which is based on the film and stage show Fame, about students at a US dance academy.

Performances on Wednesday and Thursday sold out and there are only a few seats left for tonight's show, Friday February 9, at 7pm.

More than 700 people will see the show over the three days.

The cast has been in rehearsals since September. Head of drama Matt Ryder said: "It's an absolutely fantastic show. All the students have been really excited about it."

He thanked everyone who helped to make the show happen, particularly members of the community.

For tickets, priced £3.50, phone the school on 01924 325230.
